Storage

TMGa is stable when stored under a dry, inert atmosphere and away from heat.

Safety and handling

TMGa ignites on exposure to air and reacts violently with water and other compunds containing active hydrigen. Hydrocarbon solutions of TMGa may also ignite on exposure to air. Products of complete combustion of TMGa and its solutions thereof are gallium oxide, carbon dioxide, and water. If it ignites, you should use the dry-chemical fire extinguisher; you can also use sand or asbestos cloth to put out fire in a small area, TMGa causes severe burns to the skin and eyes. TMGa can be kept steadily if encapsulated in stainless containers, protected by high purity inert gass and put in shady and cool places. In moving or transporting, it must be dealt with carefully and slightly; away from heat source; and avoid being shaken or bumped.

Analysis

Nata utilizes the highest precision analysis instruments to ensure that MOCVD precursors are free from impurities. We detect the organic / alkolide impurities by NMR, and trace metallic impurities by ICP-OES and ICP-MS.

Cylinders

We have been engaged to the R&D of the advanced cylinders from 1990 which enable us to supply high purity MO precursors to the customers today. The cylinders we manufacture now have the features as follows:

  1. Nata's cyliners are made of 316L stainless steel
  2. The inside wall of cylinder is well electro-polished and ultra clean washed to maintain the highest purity of MO precursors
  3. All parts of cylinders are severely tested before welded and we use the He-MS for leak hunting
  4. 1/4 inch VCRs and Swagelok valves ensure that our cylinders can fit MOCVD equipments as well.
